MODS: Please move this if this isn't the right place.
Let me start by reporting that I HAVE used the search button.
I'm just a click away from buying one of these for a pistol build until I get the SBR paperwork completed. At that point I will change the pistol extension to a carbine extension and put on a stock - I want to carry it as a backpack weapon.
I am a lefty. I run two point slings. I use the sling 'CQB Style' to stabilize the AR Pistol when firing. Currently I use the QD swivel on a Thordsen buffer tube cover as my rear sling point. It works well and I don't want to change.
Here is my concern which I haven't seen addressed: from my perspective as I lock out the buffer tube would be pulled back and to the right - as in opening the adapter and folding the stock. Will the LAW Gen 3 adaptor hold alignment with this force against it? Has anyone actually used it in this fashion?
I don't think it would take much movement in order to cause enough friction/binding of the spring and buffer to induce malfunctions.
Any input/reassurance on this issue?
Thanks.
