Why...? When there is COLT.
... Amongst others.

Ones I've shot seem well made.

Look at their specs compared to known quality rifles and you'll have your answer.

Yeah, I'm a Colt fan as well...
I'm just trying to learn more... You're not against learning are you?

I agree, there is more than just Colt. Looked at one at a gun shop and they look really nice so curious how they really are also.
Son has one 16". Is tight and clean, shoots well, I was impressed for and inexpensive rifle.
Looking at the specs, they actually look pretty decent. Maybe Core is upping their game.

Had some conversations with them as they were getting started and it was clear they were intent of putting out good stuff.

Evidently that might not be the current case. I've got one of their Charging Handles that is so out of spec I would need a hammer and angle grinder to make it fit. That happens, so I swapped it out for another... same issue, though slightly better it wouldn't come close to fitting into the upper either. Last time, you guessed it, a new one which didn't work either.
Everyone puts out bad batches, but QC should be picking up on things at a certain point. Hopefully they get their game together.
Not a fan and I like cheap stuff. Fondled a few and wasn't impressed.
I'm not against learning either. That's why I learn from other people's mistakes and never even considered a Core.

Since I got stuck in that market for a long time, I decided if I was gonna have crap rifles, I might as well build them for 300 less
I've not found them to be that inexpensive where I've seen them.

I'll never forget seeing one at a local pawn. Wanted 1600 bc it was on a bipod had a beta mag and a beat down 512 on it
Their decent starter rifles. I owned the scout model, everything worked fine for a $649 ready to fire rifle.
