Howdy,
I recently changed from one Federal Agency to another and my commuting distance more than double ( 44 miles vs 18.6 miles) so it was time to retire the old workcar, a 1997 Lincoln Continental.
I call her the "Golden Boat" or "The Boat" for short. Here's a pic:

I didn't want to drive my 2010 Dodge Ram QuadCab because I wanted it to last another 6 or 7 years before I had to worry about things. It currently has 88,xxx miles. Here's a pic:

So I bought a leftover 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Plus. Here's a couple of pic:

It has leather interior, 6-speed manual with a Hemi, Super Track Pak, Alpine sound system, etc.
The sticker price was $38,xxx.xx and I paid $30,900.00 which was a pretty good deal. The car is a blast to drive and has been averaging 22.6mpg overall mileage which is pretty good considering my lead foot.
So far, on a closed course, the same one the State Troopers use for driving school, pit maneuvers, etc., I've managed a 5.6 sec 0-60mph time, 0-100mph in 12.5sec, I/4 mile time of 13.6 seconds ( not sure of the speed )with a top speed of 131mph. Skid pad testing shows .79g in a right hand turn and .78g left hand turn with .97g braking.
Since the tires weren't squealing and I never spun out I'm sure I can beat the Skid pad times. I just need to push it harder next time.
Funny to drive, decent fuel mileage and looks great. I love my new R/T!
Paul
P.S. I've been two times while the Troopers were doing pit maneuvers but they wouldn't let me try it. Bummer. Oh, well, maybe next time.
