Howdy,

I recently changed from one Federal Agency to another and my commuting distance more than double ( 44 miles vs 18.6 miles) so it was time to retire the old workcar, a 1997 Lincoln Continental.

I call her the "Golden Boat" or "The Boat" for short. Here's a pic:

I didn't want to drive my 2010 Dodge Ram QuadCab because I wanted it to last another 6 or 7 years before I had to worry about things. It currently has 88,xxx miles. Here's a pic:

So I bought a leftover 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Plus. Here's a couple of pic:

It has leather interior, 6-speed manual with a Hemi, Super Track Pak, Alpine sound system, etc.

The sticker price was $38,xxx.xx and I paid $30,900.00 which was a pretty good deal. The car is a blast to drive and has been averaging 22.6mpg overall mileage which is pretty good considering my lead foot.

So far, on a closed course, the same one the State Troopers use for driving school, pit maneuvers, etc., I've managed a 5.6 sec 0-60mph time, 0-100mph in 12.5sec, I/4 mile time of 13.6 seconds ( not sure of the speed )with a top speed of 131mph. Skid pad testing shows .79g in a right hand turn and .78g left hand turn with .97g braking.

Since the tires weren't squealing and I never spun out I'm sure I can beat the Skid pad times. I just need to push it harder next time.

Funny to drive, decent fuel mileage and looks great. I love my new R/T!

Paul

P.S. I've been two times while the Troopers were doing pit maneuvers but they wouldn't let me try it. Bummer. Oh, well, maybe next time.

Nice ride. I think Dodge did a great job with the recent update, those Challengers are a lot of fun to drive.

I've been kicking around the idea of leasing a 2016 Charger R/T with the Road and Track Package. Maybe the Scat Pack if I can get a deal on them in July when I can get out of my Audi.

Howdy Paul,

As per this thread where you stated you carried a Beretta 93R (as a backup to your "Sniper Rifle") :sarcastic:

...SHIVAN had asked for your bona fides to be sent to KevinB.

Just wondering if you had sent them.

Howdy Eurodriver,

I already replied to the thread and so far haven't heard snything back from SHIVAN or anyone with a .gov e-mail address.

So, SHIVAN wants me to send PII ( that stands for Personally Identifying Information) so he can "vett" my military background?

Now, if I understand this correctly, he wants me to send my full legal name, date of birth, Social Security number, etc. to someone on an Internet forum that I've never met or even heard of in a million years...........

Sure thing. How about instead of doing that I just post my credit cards number, my debt cards number, and a pic of a blank check, plus the username and password to my 401(k) and my TSP in this thread.

Most people on Internet gun forums are scared crapless but posting where they live, even state wise, or even use there first name but he wants me to send my PII that can be used to steal my identity, loot my bank and 401(k) accounts?

Ain't gonna happen.

But if someone has a .gov e-mail account they can PM it to me and I'll e-mail them back using my .gov e-mail account.

Funny thing about people who never Served, since they don't have the testicular fortitude to do so they think others don't either.

Plus I don't see how KevinB could find anything out about my military service or anything I did afterward unless he works in Federal Law Enforcement like the FBI, or Homeland and has a Top Secert security clearance.

Even if he did he would be breaking dozens of Federal Laws, regulations and agency policies to perform any type of background check on me in an effort to prove that I lied about something on an Internet gun forum.

Anywho.........if KevinB has a .gov e-mail account he can stend it my way and I will send him an e-mail from mine and I can send him a small amount of PII as proof that I Served.

Besides, you just have your panties in a wad over you storing your AR with a loaded chamber and the safety set to "fire".

Oh, on short notice:
