I know that there was a post about this around 4 years ago, but I am looking for updated reviews and comparisons.
I am looking to get my BCG Microslick Coated. I have currently found two companies that offer these services with a reputation:
Amelon Firearms @ http://amelonfirearms.com/ for $75
and
MAD Custom Coatings @ http://madcustomcoating.com/contact-us/ for $60
I have had a previous BCG coated with Amelon through a group buy for a very good price. Amelon did a good job, and they strip the BCG down to the bare metal then apply the Microslick, a big plus. However, MAD has a coating that they "claim" is better. Does anyone have experiences with these two? I am having a hard time reaching people at both companies for questions.
And before some people chime in with: It is not needed...The Microslick BCG was a TON easier to clean, and required far less Lube. There are better options than Mil-Spec Coatings out there, if I had the money I would have the Rifle Cerakoted also.
