The Beast" is running wild on the streets in Iraq.

That is the nickname given an American-made, Iraqi-operated tank taking on Islamic State fighters in the western city of Hit.

A U.S. military spokesman, Col. Steve Warren, said Wednesday the U.S.-trained tank crew has been "tearing it up" in the city for several days, operating as a sort of one-tank wrecking crew.

That's uplifting chicken soup for the soul. I know of no one who watched that movie post 9/11 who didn't want the Soviet tankers to win despite being the "bad guys"

Who doesn't love a nice story that has a Tank in it?
Operating alone will be their undoing. I hope they have some dismounts with them and a gun truck or two in order to work the flanks.
