Looking for a used or cheap COMPLETE spring kit for a Gen 1 G17.

I have all the parts but but the springs. Hoping not to spend more on the springs than I did making the rest of the parts. ;)

Brownells (http://www.brownells.com/schematics/Glock-/Models-17-43-sid858.aspx) had the cheapest Glock springs when I was looking at them a few months ago.

What was print time?

Hard to say. I think the frame was 5 hours (because of all the support), slide was 2.5, then I did the little parts in batches.

This was the best I could find, but doesn't include the mag catch spring.

I was shopping for OEM parts. That will save a you a couple bucks.

Wow!

Is that slide printed polymer too?

Yeah, as a first attempt I printed everything out of PLA plastic. I may print the slide out of ABS depending on how difficult it ends up fitting the PLA one to the frame.

I'm curious/concerned what slide velocity will be like with the lightweight slide and standard springs. This will be interesting to see develop.

Yeah I've thought about this a bit. I may go dig through some parts bins to find some much lighter weight springs for the guide rod and firing pin.

I've thought about that, maybe some primer only loads with a piece of foam bullet. Firing pin would be the problem with regular primers.

PLA won't survive as a slide material due to brittleness and heat resistance. On first read, I thought this was meant to be a non-firing model. That would be the prudent thing to do.

Anything can be a single-shot weapon if you're brave enough. :D
