Does anyone know a maker who has Kydex lined leather wrapped IWB holsters? I prefer leather against my skin, but like the speed of Kydex on the draw? I have found makers who do the opposite, but not this? Any help would be appreciated.

Whoops, my dyslexia kicked in and I thought you had asked about leather lined wrapped in kydex, but I'll leave my response anyway:

Garrett industries makes excellent leather lined kydex holsters. I reviewed several on this forum a while back that should pop up on a search. I have their IWB also, but it's not kydex. They may have a kydex leather lined IWB, but you'll have to check on that one.

You've looked at Old Faithful? http://oldfaithfulholsters.com/

I've got one of their IWB flavors, pretty comfortable, easy to adjust.

Try an Oynx, more comfortable than leather, and your skin can actually breath through it. I had a minotaur leather backed kydex shell, and I liked it until I put an Oynx on. The Oynx was more comfortable than a 2 year old minotaur that was perfectly broken in.

Tucker gun leather. I've got an all leather holster and gun belt from him, outstanding.

Thanks for the suggestions. What I'm really looking for is something like this:

But with a Kydex lining. I like how smooth the leather is on the outside, I can slide one of these inside my waistband without undoing the button or zipper, just loosening the belt. They are very easy to put on and take off, but again, I would like the speed of the Kydex. I already have an Aliengear, and in theory, I really like it, but it is a pain in the ass to put on and take off.

Bianchi Allusion holsters have a thermo molded synthetic liner, no complaints about mine, has a IWB option (different loops) but I don't use it. Some of their other holsters may have the liner as well.

My thought is that you could get a local shoe repair to bond a piece of leather to the back side for that against the skin feel/

This is a little different than say, a Crossbreed Supertuck

Have you looked at Andrews Leather's McDaniel II? I have a few for when I'm not carrying a gun with a light. He makes them with the rough side out. Not only a smooth draw, but the rough out helps keep it from shifting. You could also slather some Leather Lightning on the inside and get a very smooth, fast draw.

I also suspect an IWB with both leather and Kydex may be too thick to be comfortable.

Doesn't g-code make a model with that faux suede stuff lining the inside and outside of their kydex?

Have you seen the smaller hybrid holsters. Leather back for comfort and Kydex shell on the front. Some offer adjustable retention while others are riveted in place. I have carried daily with one for the last few years and they are very comfortable and easy to put on and take off like the one you pictured. There are a lot of options out there on the market but not many with a leather wrap around the Kydex. I have read elsewhere that the glues to do this do not hold up over time and they separate from each other. If you decide to go this route just make sure that the holster has a full cut so that you can grip properly when needed.

Yup. Great holster, probably a pretty good alternative to what the OP is looking for (I'm not sure it exists.)

Go to Stealthgearusa.com and buy the Onyx, best holster with Kydex on the market imho!

You bet. They call it "tactical fuzz" and I really like it one the IWB holsters that I have from them. I feel like it helps the holster stay in place during the draw. Still holding up good, too, after several years of use.
