I kinda knew that buying optics/sights/etc. off of Amazon or EBay was somewhat of a crap shoot with regard to authenticity. Companies such as EOtech and Zeiss even have counterfeit awareness pages on their websites.
Anyone know of some of the larger vendors such as Optics Planet also have issues with counterfeits?

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development released a report today that said international trade of "fakes" represented 2.5 percent of overall world trade, or $461 billion, in 2013. That's equivalent to the gross domestic product of Ireland and the Czech Republic combined"
