I bought 5k Wolf SRM primers. Then later I read a post on TOS which said there were a few different types of Wolf SRM primers, and that you had to look at the large cardboard box to determine if you have the KV223, KV556 or some other stuff.
My box has Russian writing on it but no such TOS mystery codes.

I looked at Wolf's website and they only list ONE type of Wolf SRM, item code NCSRM. This is marked on my primer boxes.

The primers are gold in color if that helps. Are there several types, or is there only one type?

Thanks!

I believe the KV223 & KV556 are Tula primer part numbers.

Unless Wolf changed their part numbers, they all seem to start with NC.

I have cases of each (Tula) so I snapped a pic.

I tested all (that I know of) variants of the Wolf SRM and Tula. No significant differences in Standard Deviations were observed. The Wolf NSCN - .223 primers seemed to give slightly better SDs with a very slight increase in velocity. But they were significantly more expensive. Regular Wolf SRM/Tula work so well that the cost of the .223 primers wasn't worth it at all.
