Picked up my G19 last night from the FFL. For those of you who haven't followed, I was on the hunt for a LE Trade in G19. Well, I found one, ordered it, and picked it up. Its a Gen 3 G19, May/2003.

Front night sight is dead. Rears work, and they are the factory Glock night sights. Frame is slick as owl shit, but it does have the Tenifer slide so that's neat. Came with a box, 2 mags, speed loader, barrel brush and a manual. So overall, I'm pleased. Havent made a range trip obviously, but hopefully will get out there Saturday.

Replace the sights and update the springs, then shoot the piss out of it.

Gonna take it to the range first. I did a RSA test. Hold at 12 o'clock, dryfire and see if theres any slide mov't. it appears sound. I'd like to run it before I toss any cash at it. Trigger feels like 20lbs tho.

Does it have a NY trigger?

Just got off the phone with Glock. NY #1 Trigger spring. Trigger spring has to be replaced ASAP

Does it have one of these: NY1 (http://www.glockstore.com/Glock-Trigger-Spring-NY-1-Olive) or NY2 (http://www.glockstore.com/Glock-Trigger-Spring-NY2-Orange) instead of just one of these: Glock Trigger Spring (http://www.glockstore.com/Glock-Trigger-Spring)

Down load this (be patient it takes a while) and check out page 44-45 Glock 2009 Armorers Manual (http://www.stevespages.com/pdf/glock_2009_armorers_manual.pdf)

Awesome Jpoe! Looks great, at least the slide and all looks really mint.

Guessing it was the 399 model on that awesome webpage? Or did you go with a grade 2 for 349?

its the "fair" transferred and all, 384.99. I'm gonna stalk a 22 soon for a woods carry. hard cast .40 S&W would be cool

I first handled one in the early 90s and bought one soon after.

I had been in awe of wonder 9s like the M9 and double stack 45 frames.

To have all the firepower of an M9 in a G19 package really impressed me.

Another 19, a 26, and a couple of 17s have followed.

I still have a preference overall for CZ, Beretta, etc. metal hammer fired guns,
But the utility and simplicity of a Glock is impressive.

I have a 1980s Beretta 92 Compact,
But they really needed to drop another inch off the barrel.

92 compacts are sweet.

Went ahead and picked up the field spring kit "sk-2" and will do a detail strip when it comes in. Honestly, I could have done a ghost 3.5 kit for the same price, but I'd rather be in the norm
