View Full Version : Remington's "Ultimate Defense" buckshot
So what makes this different than other 00 Buckshot?:

It's black, so it's more tactical, now.
Honestly, from the description, it doesn't look any different than any other buckshot. Curious as well.
Ultimate Defense Buckshot 5-Round Pack
These rounds deliver dense, devastating patterns and massive knockdown power when the stakes are at their highest. Short-range patterns in smoothbore barrels are tight and effective for one-shot confidence. Our NEW 12-gauge loads include standard 9-pellets and managed recoil 8-pellets of 00 buckshot to maximum shotgun effectiveness.
Maybe that? I am not sure if it claims to include both, or offer a "standard" and "reduced recoil" load. Or a mix of both to make it a good middle ground round? No idear.
ETA:Seems to be two completely separate loads.
Until someone does a pattering comparison, we won't know the actual effectiveness compared to standard buckshot.
Possibly something similar to Federal's "Flite Control" shell?

Could be. That stuff REALLY works well. Defense shot gun is a retarded idea in the first place if you also own an AR.

Nothing says hello like a .73 caliber rifle. :-)

Nothing different, apparently. 9 pellets of 00 @ 1325 fps. same as their regular and most of the rest of the 00 out there.
Maybe it's "As seen on "24", used by Jack Bauer" :D
