I have a couple of Mega Maten lowers and I'm going to build one within the next couple of weeks.

They come with takedown pins, bolt release and trigger guard installed from the factory but I need mag release, safery selector, grip and buffer retainer hardware.

I own Daniel Defense, BCM and Core lpks already. I buy some here and there for no reason except to have if they disappear again.

Idk how I feel about breaking up a full parts kit versus buying the needed small parts individually somewhere.

What would you guys do? I want the BCM quality for the parts I need but I'm not sure it even matters for what's remaining.

If you don't want to use the BCM PNT FCG, then I would say that the Colt LPK's is a good choice then. If you do like the PNT FCG, buy the BCM LPK. Then sell off the spare parts you don't want (or keep them for a future build).

We do have some colt (loose) parts along with complete Colt LPK's in stock.

Guess that ends it. Lol. Thank you.

I'll probably buy the loose colt parts and keep my bcm kits together. I plan on using a Geissele Ss a or ssa-e trigger, and prob a bcm mod 1 grip.

I used a JP Enterprises LPK for my build and from everything I've read, they're good to go, too. And not too bad of a price point.

If it were me I'd get the following parts from Battle Arms Development: BAD-ASS or CASS (http://www.battlearmsdevelopment.com/products/safety-selectors/), Norgon Ambi Catch (http://www.battlearmsdevelopment.com/norgon-ambi-catch) & BAD-EMR (http://www.battlearmsdevelopment.com/bad-emr-enhanced-magazine-release-anodized-black) and from Brownells: Colt mag release spring (http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/magazine-parts/magazine-release-parts/ar15a4-mag-catch-spring-sku160308131-4897-10876.aspx), buffer retainer (http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/recoil-parts/recoil-buffers/ar15a4-buffer-retainer-sku160308110-4889-10868.aspx) and spring (http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/recoil-parts/buffer-retainer-springs/ar15a4-buffer-retainer-spring-sku160308111-4890-10869.aspx) and a BCM GF mod 3 grip (http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/grip-parts/pistol-grips/ar-15-bcmgunfighter-pistol-grip-mod-3-prod72470.aspx?avs%7cManufacturer_1=BRAVO+COMPANY), mag release (http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/magazine-parts/magazine-releases/ar-15-m16-magazine-release-sku160308112-4891-10870.aspx) (if you don't want to spend the money on a Norgon), plus what ever FCG you want.

I was about to order miscellaneous small parts and a colt ambi safety selector...but then I noticed that it and a bunch of other brands are the same and have the S stamped on it like a lot of other random lower parts.

Could they really be different than any other?

I looked and it seems that LW Schneider is the actual manufacturer.

I have to look at some parts I have laying around but i remember noticing a difference in trigger with the S versus a dot or 3. One was consistently smooth and the other gritty regardless of the logo on the kit

If you feel like parting with a lot of cash, check out V7.

They are not made by LW Schneider.
