KAC QD comp to extend 14.5" barrel

Hello,

I've heard that the KAC QD comp for use with their suppressor can be permanently attached with a crush washer and some shims to a 14.5" barrel to make it fully 16" and not an SBR. Can anyone verify this/has done this to theirs?
