Yeah, it's a decent price. You'd probably get more repsonses in the ammo forum though.

I have bought from Ammo-to-go several times and it has always been a good experience.

I have run some M855, and it was fine. Nothing special. I'd personally pick up some of the XM193. If you want a higher grain round I'd look for some 62gr Federal bonded SP or some TAP 75gr OTM LE . But thats me.

If it's plinking, then you don't need M855 and you can find cheaper ammo.

M855 us a high quality round.

But it is not known for accuracy or impressive bullet performance on threats.

It depends what you want it for. I personally can't see a reason to buy m855 at $0.50 per round when there are other options available.

I hope I didn't imply it wasn't a high quality round.

But like you said, I didn't find it terribly accurate out of my guns. And through my reading here, on tactical forums, and in particular DocGKR's post heard it wasn't an impressive performer on threats.
