I didn't even realize Ruger made this, but I came upon it during some down time. On paper it sounds good:
- Magnum chambering
- threaded muzzle
- rail for mounting optics
- adjustable trigger
- removable magazine (albeit totally proprietary)

The price is pretty cheap/affordable, but I am hesitant due to the lack of reviews anywhere. Maybe it's because it's really new, but am wondering if anyone here has experience with these, thoughts, etc.

I have one of the regular Americans in .308 and I like the rifle although a little long for me. But it is a lite well built rifle with a nice adjustable trigger. My only complaint is the quality of the mags are Meh. They are plastic and are cheap feeling, though that may have changed. Also it is a very lite gun as well, which in .308 or other mid weight hunting cartridge isn't bad I can only imagine the recoil on a 300 win mag.

That 's good to hear, although the cheap mags aren't confidence-inspiring. I wish they used AICS mags. As for the light weight, that's where the threaded muzzle can come in to play. Muzzle brakes and whatnot.
But the guy in the AH vid platoonDaddy posted states that the stock on the Magnum is heavier to help soak up the recoil of the magnum rounds.

Just watch it. Thanks.

I wish Ruger would make a Ruger Magnum Precision Rifle, using AICS magnum mags, threaded muzzle, adjustable trigger, folding adjustable stock, Keymod/MLOK forend, factory canted top rail. I'd be all over that like a Klinton on Saudi oil money.

Magpul needs to make a stock for the american rifles. I would snatch one up then. Not a fan of the stock.
