I am still giggling at how accurate this little SMG is!!!

The Eotech makes it a real CQC tac-driver. As a result of this little gun Ive put off any future mods to the 11.5 AR15 (for now)

I had the opportunity to visit the B&T factory in Thun, Switzerland (beautiful place!). I spent two days at the factory learning all about the B&T products, including a session on the MP9/TP9. I was taught how to assemble and disassemble the weapon and then I had a chance to shoot it at the local range on an IPSC type course. The weapon is light and handy, utterly reliable, ergonomic and real fun to shoot! The folding stock really helps to stabilize the weapon, especially with a vertical fore-grip, but even in a pistol configuration the weapon is fast and accurate, especially with a red dot or holographic sight on top.

Karl Brugger did a real nice job of improving on the original Steyr design.

I plan to get one of these just for the fun factor and for the interesting mechanical design. (It uses a rotating barrel and unique locking collar design).

According to the US importer, they will be available by the end of the year. I plan on stocking them. :D

The pistol for sure and most likely the SMG with the right paper work.

Havent checked this site in a while. I was just out at the range with this gun last weekend and am still very impressed with it overall. Not a sigle jam in a quick 500 rounds.

As far as US importers I understand that DSA is the official importerr of this gun into the US. Im in Canada and I have the semi auto version TP9, whers its classified as a rifle due to the folding stock, I only assume that it would be an SBR in the USA.

Here are some great links to the TP9s full auto big brother: http://www.mp9.ch/

the trigger is long and I describe it as a very big glock. Shame that the mags werent interchangeable :(

Here are the specs on the TP9 from the factory FYI : http://www.brugger-thomet.ch/inhalt/02/pdf.php?gid=0001&pid=002&id=289

had to bring this thread back from the dead because i have had my SBR TP9 for a couple months now and i love it. i have many handguns and two SBR AR15s but i cant go shooting without it ever. after one mag the 9mm destroys targets compared to the smaller 5.56. it is dead on with the micro, and recoil is low. the only complaint i have is the trigger is a little heavy but i might have someone work on it for me. here is a pic.

What does the trigger feel like? Like a striker fired, SA, DA, etc.?

The one in the above post is a SMG (post sample only) as far as Americans would be concerned.

You can't legally bring them in as a semi with the forward grip as that would constitute an AOW. I decided to go with a SBR version of the pistol.

Makes a wonderful little PDW. Only wish there was such a thing as a pre sample.

feels like an 8lb glock trigger. with the support of the stock it dosnt really affect accuracy but it gets tricky to shot it real fast. to much pull and reset.

It is funny that this thread would come back. I was thumbing through a DSA catalog yesterday and was curious about more info on this little number. It looks interesting and sounds like it's pretty accurate.

For those of you whom have shot it, what is accuracy like out to 25 plus yards?

Thanks.

The SBR version is very accurate. Pretty close to my MP5.

For grins I qualified with mine on the PD qual course which requires shots from 25 yards and in. With sling tension and a RDS it was one of my best pistol groups under time. I've hit silhouettes out to 100 yards with it so it will do the job.

No that I have my short XCR, I am SBR'ing the TP9. I ordered my print cards this week.

that's great. it is very accurate and is fast in target. you will love it in SBR with the stock.

just as a side note, the Daniel Defense front grip i have on mine is the only one I've found that still lets the stock fold and lock into the closed position, so i highly recommend it.

well i took it to the range that i bought the suppressor from and they let me shoot it there anytime i want before they get my paperwork from BATF. so i did a little youtube video. shot 200 rounds of 147 grain sub-sonic with no problems at all. it didn't get that hot, but has noticeable blow back into my face. glasses are a must. it made the little recoil it had even less. soooo quiet. really like it. just need to find someone to lighten the trigger some. :D

I have one of these in SBR form and it is fun.

It feeds most ammo rather well, the only issue I have had is the one of the mag lips broke off of one of my translucent mags during use. Black mags only now for me.

One day I will get or make a can for it.
