View Full Version : My suppressed Glock 19
OD green G19:
Factory 3.5 connector
Heinie Straight Eights
Vicker's mag release
Filed off the finger grooves, nope, not pretty but she handles like a 2nd gen!
I also keep a supply of factory (only factory, always factory) 30 rounders on hand that I've modified with Magpul Ranger plates. I keep the 30 rounders fixed along the inside of my radio console so I can have as much emergency ammunition as possible.
The Magpuls make it a lot easier to draw the resupply up out of the network of radios, light and siren boxes, etc. Good kit!

Very cool!
What barrel are you running?
Believe it or not that is an old FAC barrel that I got hold of years ago.
My C2 smith at the time cut the threads shorter on it, recrowned it, and squared the shoulder face on it when my transfer came in on the Evo. (That's on old '03 model Evo by the way.)
When I got the barrel a new factory round wouldn't even drop in without sticking. I took a dremel and some polishing compound and lightly worked around inside the chamber and now it feeds perfectly.
Once the work was done I was astonished to find out how accurate the barrel is. But even so in 2008 I wouldn't touch the Federal barrel, I'd Lone wolf it all the way, which is what I did for my G26.
Guess there are no stray cats in your neighboorhood!!:D Nice set-up!!!
As good as the suppressor may be, with 9mm don't you still here the bullet as soon as it goes super-sonic?* And if so, what is the difference in total noise/total db noise reduction?
Unless you're loading/using 147gr sub-sonic 9mm cartridges?
Very cool!

When are you going to buy a suppressor for your G19 "Pro"?
Unless you're loading/using 147gr sub-sonic 9mm cartridges?
I only use subsonic 147's in this combination. Frankly there'd be no point in the whole thing otherwise.
I'm afraid I don't have any idea of a specific db reduction as I have no sound testing equipment. But it's certainly worth the money. And that can is an old '03 model. I believe the newer ones from AAC are reportedly even quieter.

It looks like a well used pair. It's interesting how the Evo-9 has changed. Yours looks like a two piece design vs the current incarnation of the silencer.
You called it bud.
That's a 2003 model Evo 9. I'm planning on upgrading to a current one and updating my old .45 can as well.
