If I really wanted to spend $2k on a rifle, I'd buy a KAC.

If the OP is talking about the Renegade + rifle the $1,900 asking price is more than fair if that's what you want. I doubt you could build it for less. Is it a battle rifle?? Not unless it is the only one you have. Too many unproven components for most of us here.

My buddy bought a basic version that is arriving today. It will be a week or so before we can go shoot it.

It's what he wanted and no matter what I said ( wanted him to go BCM or SIONICS)

From what I can see it looks like a nice rifle and should serve him well.

Range time will tell though.
