I was just having fun today. I don't know how many times I shot the target, maybe something went through the same hole, I dunno. I was using a 1-4 Nightforce with FC-2 reticle, DDM4 16.1" CHF Chrome Lined .gov profile barrel, and Surefire 556-212 suppressor. Shooting off a sand-bag seated on a bench at 100 yards. 1 shot every few seconds. Ammo was as the title suggest, 70gr "Browntip".

I have heard that the 70-grain Barnes TTX is the same as the brown tip ... I have loaded the Barnes and find it to be plenty accurate ... but not as accurate as SMKs or Nosler CC.

Is the ammo in your test the genuine article, manufactured and tested to specification, or a commercial reproduction?

Genuine article. I am not sure if it's cosmetic blems or just overrun, though. My guess is cosmetic blems judging by condition of the cases having a small dent here and there. I only chronoed 2 rounds one day when some guy had a chrono at the range. 28xx and 290x or so was the mv from my 16.1 for those 2 rounds.

If it has blues sealant on the primer it's genuine, or overruns. If there is no sealant, or clear it is made from the leftover components into a commercial load.

I pick up the .mil contract stuff behind the navy and air force.

Brown tip is the 50 grain projectile. I'm not sure what/if the 70 grain is marked with as I haven't seen it.

5.56 Optimized 70gr is loaded with the Barnes 70gr TSX, which is a solid copper hollow nose cavity projectile.

It's quite legit.
