Guessing it's not an issue but the action springs I ordered just arrived to replace the originals I've neglected to replace for far too long in my Colt and LMT.

I measured and noticed they are both 11.5" long, some picture I saw claimed 11.25" was "max" but that's some picture I found on the Internet.

Just wanted to double check with the experts that an 11.5" action spring is g2g in regular carbines.

Thanks.

Spec for Carbine length Action Springs is 10 1/16" to 11 1/4". Not sure what the extra 1/4" will do. What brand spring did you buy?

Regards.

The acceptable lengths are 10 1/16 (min) and 11 1/4 (max) for a carbine. Yes, it is a little long. Will it work and function normally? Maybe so. So your options are to send them back or use them and see what happens.

Plan on shooting with them for sure. I have faith in BCM and they're prolly going to shrink through usage anyway, right?

I only felt the need to measure it because the OEM spring my 6920 was so short by comparison (way overdue for a swap) but yeah I'll hammer a few through this weekend and see how it works.

Thanks for the info.
