View Full Version : Ruger American Pistol
Ruger bills this gun as able to handle a steady diet of +P ammo, as opposed to other manufacturers recommending against extended use of this ammo.
For anyone that's bought one of these pistols and has a decent round count, what's your opinion thus far?

Most all of your major pistol manufacturers are ok with shooting + P ammo (as a good many PD's and SO use it). So I wouldn't use that a tool to judge one against another.

Any quality handgun from a reputable manufacturer can handle a steady diet of +P. Sounds like Ruger marketing to make this sound like a superior alternative to options already on the market.
