After collecting everything for a 10.5 mk18 inspired build I realized I over looked the fact that my barrel is not drilled for my stock A2 FSP. I've found a very small amount of clip on versions but wondering what may be the cons of that option? Also what are the pros of spending the extra money on having the barrel drilled? Thanks guys.

Clamp on is weak. If it's going to take no abuse, it'll probably work, but really is 1/10th the strength of a taper pinned job. I'm not even sure where you'd get a GOOD taper pin job done.

There's a local company that does it but they couldn't give me a quote over the phone.

Rainier perhaps.

Doesn't adco offer that service also?

ADCO does and gets $105 + shipping and you supply an undrilled FSB. Too bad the OP already has a barrel. Rainier sells a Noveske light 10.5 with FSB installed for $260.

So I can either spend $300+ buy a new barrel or just say **** it and spend that on a DD ris II. Decisions decisions
