I rebuilt/updated my 3gun rifle.

This is what it looked like earlier today.

I swapped stocks and bbls. I went to a mid-length 16" gov't profile and my old Magpul 93A2.

So this is what it ended up like. I used Norrells Moly on the bbl, upper receiver, and JP tube.

Oh crap! You have a muzzle brake on that thing, there's at least one Match RO here that will refuse to RO you and if he had his way would have you thrown of the range.

Nice rifle BTW.

Thanks. Yes muzzle brakes are loud. I shoot indoors and outdoors with this, I double up my hearing protection indoors (foam earplugs and my Peltors or Pro Ears). It's loud but no more loud than my 11.5" w/A2 flash suppressor which is about the same as an 'Open' gun in 38 Super or 9 MAJOR. If my M4-2000s were a hell of a lot lighter I would just shoot suppressed.

Looks good, I like the updated version much better. I prefer a little short gun for competition (as compared to other shooters).

I'm sure the updated version will prove to be a little handier and may "drive" a bit better than the older version.

I'm liking it a lot better too. Acquiring the reticle seems faster, it's more balanced too. I know what you mean my 'driving'. It being lighter it seems to not want to keep going while transitioning between targets (less momentum). I do need to chrono it now to verify that it's making power factor w/55gr.
