Hi.

Excellent forum. Long-time lurker that finally got around to registering.

I've got some time off coming up and I am always up for a road trip. I am looking for a pistol class in the mid-Atlantic or Southeast in September or early October. I'd also consider a pistol/carbine course if that's all I can come up with.

I am LEO, so a closed enrollment LEO class is fine (or even desirable.)

USPSA competition-oriented class is fine. I can do mid-week if any GMs or Ms want to schedule a private in that time frame.

Or I'd consider a 'guns and grappling'/close range fighting class. Of course the 'Tactical Pistol' class is good, too.

(However, I'm not looking for an NRA 'introductory' type classes).

I appreciate the heads up on any classes or trainers that I should look into.

Thanks.

Kyle Defoor and John McPhee are selling out of their 2017 classes now so that rules them out. Redback One's website doesn't play well with safari but I highly encourage you to check them out and see if they have anything upcoming - Jason is an awesome instructor.

Other than those three, check out Aztec training. I don't know how functional their website is and how many instructors they've roped in (long story, check out threads here on Alias training if you're not familiar) but they will probably have a lot of development in the next few months. There are plenty of dudes around Bragg so you should have options there.

I checked, but there's nothing among those guys that works. Thanks though. I appreciate it.

If you can make that late-August pistol class, you will not be disappointed. I've taken plenty of courses with TRC over the years (starting when they still fell under the TigerSwan umbrella) and recommend them whole heartedly.

I plan to take this class in August if I can break free. If not, I will take the December class. I have had other training there. The facility is good and the instructors know their business.

That's a good lead. I can't make the late Aug class, and they don't currently show anything scheduled that fits, but I'll keep my eye on them and even reach out to see if they might be adding a class.

Thanks.

Hopefully you can get something worked out. They have some world class instructors.
