Ok I installed Troy BUIS and a aimpoint M3 on LT-129 mount. When I look with the BUIS up with the red dot it looks like the red dot sits slightly to the right of the FSB.

Is that possible canting or does my red dot need slight zeroing?

Are your irons zero'd? If so then you just adjust your aimpoint. They come "zeroed" but if you've adjusted your irons at all, it will be off. Also, tolerance stack built into your mount or upper can throw off the zero slightly.

You should sight in your irons for 50yds POA/POI, then the Aimpoint for 50yds POA/POI and then tell us what you find.

I just use the 50yd IBZ and proceed just like the aimpoint manual says.

Could it be possibly that i don't have the Aimpoint properly rotated inside the mount. Perhaps the elevation knob isn't 100% centered on top. How can I make sure my aimpoint is rotated perfectly. for me left handed at 12 and 9??

That page describes an elevation type scenario. My Troy BUIS has no elevation adjustment. only left to right.

That page also says this

Note To Users of Carbines with the A1 style rear sight or users of Flip-Up Sights: This 50 yard zero works really well. If you have the original sight aperture use the unmarked (short range) hole to zero the rifle. If you have upgraded, and use the A2 style aperture (or the A.O. Same Plane sight), then use the small (long range) hole for zeroing.
