Firing modes:
single shot, semi-auto, and full auto huh, I prefer a "safe" somewhere in the mix:D .

ETA: They didn't mean a breach locked single fire mode when they say "single shot" did they?

Hint: What are the external and terminal ballistic characteristics of 7.62x51mm fired from a 9.96" barrel? How about from a 13" barrel? Not to mention the same question in regards to 5.56 mm fired from 9.96" barrels or 13.82" barrels...

Doc, using the 9.96" barrels for both the 5.56 and the 7.62, would the 5.56 have better terminal ballistics using say Mk262? Everything that I've read says that the 7.62 suffers a LOT from barrels shortened less than 16". I figure if anyone knows, you would.

Man, that was cool!
Really some next level stuff right there.

Can you believe that you can do barrel changes in only 5 minutes with just a simple T-handle torque wrench?!!!
I wish they would have shown that!

And that ability to shoot 5.56 or 7.62x51 with only 2 guns has got to be the coolest thing ever!

And that folding stock is awesome!

I loved it!

I might as well start saving my money now. Maybe I will have enought to buy a heavy and a light when they finally release them to civilians in 2007 or 2008.

Updated:

Weight and barrel lengths listed for the Heavy are incorrect. The correct barrel lengths are 13 inches for the CQC, 16 inches for the Standard (S), and 20 inches for the Long Barrel (LB; formerly the SV / Sniper Variant).

Weight for the SCAR Light with Standard (14 inch) barrel is 7.2 pounds, SCAR Heavy with Standard (16 inch) barrel is 7.9 pounds.

Hope this helps,
Clint
