Gulf Shores, AL Rentals - October 2016

The family and I are looking to head down to Gulf Shores this Oct for the kids' fall break. Anyone from the AO have a rental or any recommendations? We've not done the vacation rental thing before, so just looking for input. Also, anyone en route from Indianapolis to Gulf Shores have any cool things to stop and see?

Why did you pick Gulf Shores? How old are the kids?

We go every year. Turquoise Place in Orange Beach if your not married to Gulf Shores. Nice place

GH41, we have friends with two kids the same ages (7 and 11) that went last year and loved it. We were looking for a getaway and decided on the ocean versus mountains, cabins, camping, hiking, etc., and trying not to spend a crazy amount either.

We are looking at Orange Beach, Perdido Key, etc. for all the rentals in the Gulf Shores area, so not just married to Gulf Shores only. Just kind of winging it! Stay in the condo but go to the beach, drive over to Florida, check out the parks....
