View Full Version : Identify Barrel Markings

Just picked this up as a NOS 20" USGI barrel and need help identifying it. Came with F-marked FSB and a date code of 06/10 marked right behind the handguard cap. It has a chrome bore, CL barrel and rifle barrel extension. I think I know the manufacturer but I know there are more knowledgeable people on this site. Any help is appreciated.

3C4V9 is Sabre Defense. The barrels I have had from them were solid.

If its a sabre barrel its a good one... They were known for making .50bmg and other barrels for the govt

That is what I thought but it gives me peace of mind hearing from you guys to confirm it. It took me a while but then I figured I would type in the cage code to see if that would produce a result. The guy selling them was trying to tell me they were FN surplus.

Maybe because FN used to be the only mfg putting the cage code on their barrels he assumed it was FN.. Today even colt is marking their barrel with the cage code instead of the usual C MP etc
