Interesting indeed. Nothing looks implausible or difficult to put into place.

But why not just revise the bolt shape along the lines used by any of the newer refinements (KAC, LMT, AR15 Performance, or even the DPMS gen2 .308 design)? That seems to provide real improvements also. And it might be possible to use both shape changes and this LPB technique together.
