Well, I just dumped some money on an Arc'tyrex 50L bag. I've been needing to replace the Osprey Atmos 50L that I gave away a while ago, and also wanted to upgrade to something extremely durable. When I saw a sale on the Arc'tyrex bags, I just couldn't pass it up.

So here's the rub.

Finding hook & loop stuff to stash in it and organize my kit is a pain in the doopa. LBX has their line of stuff, which is great and all, but I don't want to spend 50% the cost of my pack outfitting the interior of it! Besides LBX and BFG's Dapper series, I'm having a hard time finding stuff to organize the interior. The last thread that I saw about this (via search) was rather old, and I'm hoping that some new players have entered this market.

What I have found so far:

LBX - weirdly the only source for 3"+ depth pouches...
BFG - Dapper series has some decent options, but are very spendy.
Maxpedition - they make a few 500d hook & loop pouches, but I can only find them in coyote/tan/FDE.
Overland Gear - I guess they are a travel company? They make a few hook & look inserts with both mesh and vinyl facing. Cheap, too.
Condor Outdoor - Ahh, Condor. The china-made bottom of the barrel. That said, I can get two (2!) 8 x 4.5 x 2" for ~$15. Less than half what I can find elsewhere!
SOE - they have two mesh pouches, and are priced a bit over the competition but use 1000d and, well, its SOE gear...

As of right now, I'm struggling to find a reason to not just get 6 or 8 crappy Condor pouches. The pack will be used for international travel, and not necessarily over the mountains and through the woods to a firefight we go.

Anyone have some ideas or sources?

You could make your own Dapper plate with a sheet of kydex and 3M industrial hook and loop. Then grab whatever MOLLE pouches and run some cord keeper thru the slots

I don't think l would be real worried about using Condor gear to organize a backpack. Plate carrier, chest rig, probably not. But a backpack...

you pretty much covered the sources. also, having lighter or contrasting pouches inside the pack helps. even different coloured ones. I wouldn't try to adapt molle pouches for use inside a pack as it's unnecessary weight and bulk that would be added. I have a combination of the lbt and bfg pouches in my pack.

This just popped up on Breach Bang Clear. Might be of some interest for you. Let's you use molle pouches.

Conterra makes some different inserts for their medical bags, could be another option if you want to add some colored pouches into the mix.

Thanks for the heads up on some stuff. The MilitaryMorons review / explanation page is actually what made me pull the trigger on buying this, so, thanks.

The Conterra stuff looks great. I've a medical background, and my professional trajectory has me headed further into that field, so that is actually quite perfect.

Glad to see that my thinking about the pouches not needing to be built like tanks was spot on. They are there to keep my shit organized and ready to be grabbed, that is all.

Can't wait to get it set up.
