Was playing around with some Hornady 68 grain that I found buried on my reloading bench, I normally just load 55 grain for plinking
So this load was cfe223 @ 25 gr, tula primers, range brass, hornady 68 gr. Col of 2.25
ar15 with 14.5 lightweight Daniel Defense barrel, Vortex 1x4 set to 4 off sandbags, It was my second string of fire.
First string was 10 shots at cfe223 @ 24.5
Then this 5 shots @ 25 grns

Nest step? load more of the same? or is this acceptable?

I just got through shooting the same bullets but over H335. 23gr. Fed used brass. uniformed flash hole cleaned primer pocket.
16" cmv barrel, PSA Freedom kit rifle. 1-7, A2 stock instead of the shipped MOE.
3x Nikon P223 scope.

At 50 yds i am getting less than 1/2 inch. Wanting to try 100 yds next time. Just the sight in and first REAL range time I've had with this.

That bullet and my rifle love each other. Just got some 75gr of the same thing for the next time out. Going to experiment with other brass as well to see if it matters. Some say "yea" and others say "nay".

Yeah. Load more of that. Thats just pretty!

Also, if your interested, theres a neat free program. OnTarget. Scan the target, use the prog to mark hits, it gives all sorts of info!
