View Full Version : traded sks for ce1000 expanse, CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY MY UPPER RECEIVER?

Traded a sks for what i was told was a brand new never fired colt ce1000 expanse. However from what ive read and found on countless hours from google image searching im starting to wonder what the hell is on this thing. It all appears to be brand new and fits together perfectly. This is the only mark i can find on the upper receiver and ive never seen anything like it. The bcg is marked MP not MPC. The barrell is marked 5.56 NATO 1/7 P not 5.56 NATO 1/7 C P like others. However it looks just like an expanse barrel. Any help identifying the parts would be very much appreciated

The square forge mark is from Brass Aluminum Forging Enterprises, LLC.

That is a weird looking mark, tentacle monster or alien brand???

Yeah I thought maybe a crab...I couldn't find anything that referenced that mark in the usual list.

I see it now...it seems the picture I viewed originally is not the one I see now. If I was to hazard a guess, thar could me an overseas forge mark.

Is this an optical illusion or shadows? It looks like the bottom cut of the pic rail is scalloped or the ends of the slots are radiused.

My DD Lite Rail is that way, iirc.

I have this same thing posted on about 4 different forums, I found out that it is how some of them come from colt. guy bought a ce2000 expanse and his has the exact same marking as mine and I was able to find one image searching finally too. not sure if its made by colt but its the correct part and its how they sent it from the factory.
