Mods, if this linking and thread is inappropriate, I do apologize and feel free to remove.

There is a new social media in town. They have it set up as an intro right now, and it's free and open to all.

Signing up is simple:
Go to the webpage, enter your info, and wait for the access code.

When the access code arrives, go back to the webpage and click "register" and use your access code.

I am not tied to this company/website at all, beyond being a member, but their focus is on building a social media site that accepts, and promotes, firearms and our industry (amongst all the other stuffs that comes with Social Media).

Not sure how far they will truly get, but it's awesome to see some initiative targeted more towards millennials.

You can find me at @HeruMew on there.

I would like to hear your input and thoughts.

While this isn't the first true "Pro-Gun Social Media" (Even our community could be/should be considered Social Networking), it is nice to see one that is trying to go into the limelight through similar layout styles.

I hope it does better than that cryptozoology-themed social networking site I joined several years back. It lasted about three months, I don't even remember what it was called.

There's also an app called Gun Squad, all theses endeavors seem to die a pretty quick death though.

This. I won't join Facebook groups either. M4C is all the pro-gun social media I need.

Agreed. Here, Subguns, Sturm, and HKPro. Oh and fnctalk, but it's very low traffic.

Another good search string would be "new york times hack watering hole chinese".

I'll stick to backwoods shacks and hardware stores full of old angry men where nothing gets sold but somehow the place stays open somehow, thank you

Leaving the major social media networks is what gun controllers want.

I don't like discussing guns with people outside of the M4C circle. I know too many idiots that like Bushmaster.

Thanks for everyone's input.

I am inclined to agree. Considering I remove myself from facebook, I haven't been on there in 6+ years now, I wanted to give this new place a shot.

My first concern was certainly being a target for cyber security, and thus avoided using any personal information, besides a username being linked, I suppose, as that would just be a pain to deal with.

Thankfully, the Fudd level has been pretty low there, but so has membership.

I don't think it will truly reign successful, but, I said that about other platforms before too.

Nonetheless, thanks for expressing your comments, concerns, and (entertaining) jokes. :)

This is true.

We actually don't want an exodus of the gun folk from major social media networks. We want all the gun folk to join the major social media networks, to help people realize just how many gun folk there are.

True, but most people who run social media are limo liberals who "know better" and think everyone is some buzzcut kill em all type.

And they can censor all day long. So unless a guy starts up something bigger than google who isn't all do-gooder about 'stopping the NRA" then what there is, is what there is.

Like all the actors who shouted "Demand a Plan" yet make their money from movies pretending to kill people with guns.

I'm sure there are plenty of ill informed / leftest types on social media who know how many gun folk are out there, I'm also sure they don't care. In their minds they are superior and smarter then us and we just all need to realize that. #Commonsense bro!

Basically, I'd rather not advertise myself on social media to those types of people.

Gun controllers want 2a people off major social media to stigmatize further. It's a quarantine effect. The fewer 2a guys means fewer 2a companies finding a market. Fewer conversations. Fewer photos of normal people doing normal things. The culture of the platform then sees 2a as more and more strange because they are never exposed to it. 2a groups get thought of as fringe cult-groups that then should be eradicated.

It's an idea game of discrimination for social engineering. If 2a people are on major social media, don't want them to jump ship. If they aren't, then it doesn't matter anyway. Yeah, start your private clubhouse and your private college and your private network. But when you retreat from the public sphere, the mob wins.

Everyone thinks that about everyone who disagrees with them in any given issue.

Magic: The Gathering doesn't* have trap cards. The meme is from Yu-gi-oh, which does have trap cards as a common mechanic of the game.

* It has some cards that act like a trap card, but do not have an actual card type of "trap". Archive Trap (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=197538) and similar cards are the closest, but they are very obscure cards that have a type of instant and sub-type of trap. The sub-type doesn't actually do much of anything in the rules unless you have something that specifically targets traps, like Trapfinder's Trick (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=192212). I think that's actually the only card in a game made up of ~13,600 unique cards that specifically targets traps.
