These are my loads that i have worked up, please dont try with out working up to them yourself. Just thought i would share a few here. Rifle is a BCM BFH 16" midlegth. It was hotter than hell today. Roughly 93 today. All loads were with mixed brass, WSR, and 77gr SMK, oal 2.255 unless otherwise noted.

First load was under 23.1 varget. I got 2530 fps average.
second load was 23.1 tac. 2615 fps.
third was 23.5 tac. 2645 fps. I had a higher SD with tac so i may use matching brass but i wanted to see how tac shot as i have only ever used varget. The tac showed no signs what so ever of pressure and i feel i could go higher but i had .9 moa out of it and that is with a tr24 so i am happy with that. Varget i started showing signs of pressure at 23.5gr and was only at 2582 fps.

Other rounds fired for reference were
PMC 55 gr avg 2935
MEN m193 avg 3180
IMI m855 avg 3008

Sorry not to scientific but i am working up a load to try and clone mk262 or even ssa 77gr otm. Just bought 1000 77gr noslers to play with.

TAC seems to be the go to for Mk 262 cloning. Varget... I won't use at all for .223. Not worth the hassle.

i agree. Doesn't meter well, velocities are relatively low, but groupings are pretty good. I know you recommend wolf or tula primers, but seeing as how they are all but disappeared, what do you recommend.

I'd just try a few of the common brands (Win, Fed, CCI) that are easily available and see what works best. The only primer that stood out as bad for our loads were CCI BR4s. I don't know why, but they shot the worst.
