View Full Version : Daniel Defence M4V7 MLOC good to go?

My brother in law has a couple of rock river ar's.I wanted him to have something better so we went to a LGS and I offered to buy him a 6920 magpul Colt.He did not really like it.I had the LGS guy hand me a DDM4V7 mloc and let the brother in law handle it...he flipped out and really loved it.I got an M4S for it while we were there and he is just ecstatic.My question is this...is he gtg now?It seemed to me the rifle is very nice and they call it mil spec plus.....but I defer to the people here.I suspect he is now set and will really enjoy his new mid length.

What do the experts think?

I've been rolling with an older DDM4V7 since 2012... over 7000 rounds down the pipe.. several training classes. One stoppage ever.. a popped primer into the trigger mechanism...not the fault of the rilfe. Solid choice.

The only difference between the new V7 and some of the other DD rifles like the V5's is the M-Lok hand guard. I own a pair of V5's and they are excellent rifles. The new V7 M-Lok hand guard has my undivided attention. The only reason I have not bought one yet is that I can't find one in stock without overpaying. But I'll get one in time...

I've been running a flawless DD for the last couple years. They're an excellent company that build good to go hard use rifles. You'll regularly see them on the short list of recommended builders on this site. You did right by your brother.

Might Chuck an h2 buffer in there, probably shipped with an H. Fine either way, but my 14.5 mid from DD would run an H3 with steel case lol.

I checked out one of those today...it was grey.Very nice!

My brother in law texted a pic of the rifle with the hashtag #bestrifleever....he is so happy.

I own one and I love it. I probably have 1,000 rounds through it in the 3 months I've had it so far (zero malfunctions) and the only thing I shoot more is my noveske/bcm sbr.

My brother liked my DDM4 V11 PRO so much he bought a V7 PRO today. Nice when people actually pay attention to advice. The PRO's are a bit heavy, but mine shoots very very well and ran great in PatMac's class and didn't slow me down any.

I loved my DD m4v7. I sold it though, so I could have money to build a gun to better suit my desires.

I handled one at my LGS. Liked it so much I'm going to get the hand guard for my V5. No issues with my V5 in the 4 years I've had it. Putting the pic rail on a mutt upper I'm building.
