Really like those grips. Leaning towards the MOE SL since it would match the SL stock. This is for a 14.5" carbine. What's the consensus?

Might as well ask what type of condoms are the best.

After trying all the rest, the k2 from magpul is my favorite grip. Bcm is good too, but my "best" isn't always the next guy's "best".

Well I don't think my uses would qualify for a more vertical grip angle, since I don't plan on clearing a house any time soon. So I guess that leaves the MOE and MOE+, and the latter seems to be superior.

I've tried more than ten grips over the years and I like the MOE+ the best. Right profile and angle, doesn't have a bunch of parts to come off and has good storage capacity.

I prefer the basic $20 MOE grip. It's analogous to the medium MIAD grip which is what everyone ends up using anyway but it doesn't weigh any extra for being user-configureable.

Another nod to the MOE, it works well.

I think we can all agree no condom is the best condom.

Standard MOE for me. I don't like the rubber overmolded MOE+ or the newer more vertical grip angles.

The K2+ is my favorite grip of the dozen or so I've tried.

I think the perfect solution would be an MOE grip with the texturing of the K2.

I don't clear houses either but with regular shooting, I find the increased angle much more comfortable, my wrist feels less "kinked". I'm running the BCM. See if you can try the K2 in a store first, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I like rubber on my grips, hence the moe+. But I vote no rubber on everything else.

MOE Plus.

The rubber is grippy.

I like the feel of the Magpul+ grip however, it seems to get really grungy compared with my non rubber coated Magpul / BCM grips.

Same here. My black grip doesn't really show it, but my FDE one looks super grungy. However, that doesn't stop me from keeping it. I like the handling characteristics too much.

MIAD for me. Since it comes with the oil bottle insert I would buy anyway it doesn't cost any more than buying a fixed grip and bottle separately. I like that I can make it fit my hand exactly the way I want. Also I'm not much a fan of rubberized grips prefer the standard grip angle.

That said, the OP had asked about handguards before we all started pistol grips. I use and am happy with the original MOE version. The SL is interesting, but I'm not sure how well it would handle heat being narrower - I shoot mostly reactive and tend to go through a lot of rounds at a time.

Sorry if I was unclear, I meant MOE SL grip, not handguard. I'm running the URX 4 MLOK with MOE+ grip

MOE K2+ here: the hand traction of the rubber over-mold, with the angle my wrist likes. :)

The MOE+ all the way. I hate plastic feeling parts on a rifle as it cheapens it's feel in the hand in my opinion. So anything that can be rubberized or metal is good in my book. The MOE+ just has the best feel out of anything I've tried. In close second is the Daniel Defense Grips but I don't care for the built in trigger guard.
