It's pretty widely known by now that M193 and other high velocity 5.56mm can perforate level III steel armor, if fired from a 16" or longer barrel and at 50 feet or closer. Does that mean that any old 55 gr .223 can do it? Specifically, can PMC 55 gr FMJ perforate CATI level III steel armor at about 10 feet? You know the drill.
