S&W Custom Shop is sloooow!

I hate to write this for my first post, but this is my CCW gun. I am forced to carry a Glock while waiting for my favorite revolver.

I sent my Model 60 revolver in on 6/29 for some custom work. After waiting what seemed like FOREVER I received this response from an email inquiry:

Hi, Went to refinishing on 8/3. Probably will be another 2-3 weeks before it ships

Well, October is here and I sent another inquiry. Guess what? Read this:

The gun is not yet finished. We are behind in our refinishing area.

We hope to be caught up in the next two months.

We apologize for this delay

WTF? I doubt I will be using S&W for any more custom work. There are plenty of hungry gunsmiths out there that I don't have to put up with this BS. YES, I hope they read this. MV out!

Damn that blows. Sorry to hear this but at least you have the second best gun on the planet. :D

Getting good work quickly is always dificult.

Hungry gunsmiths may not be good gunsmiths, and good gunsmith often have big backlogs.
