Don't need anything fancy, just something to take it to and from the car. Might be nice to have some space for mags and ammo. In fact, I'd prefer it to be on the cheaper side.

The SBR will fit without breaking it down as long as the OAL is under 26 1/2".

I found this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004QJSULW/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1
I like the price and the color. Would the 36" be a good option for a 14.5" carbine?
I am a huge fan of the Tactical Tailor Discreet Cases. I have several and they are solid, as are the Eagle Industries ones that Natchez had on sale for a while.

It's not very discreet, but Midway offers a decent tactical rifle case at a reasonable price. I have been using one for a couple of years and it's held up well.

For your requirements, the 36"case will do just fine. Oh, I almost forgot. Don't use it as a padded rest at the range. You might end up blowing a hole through it! Don't ask me how I know.

I've got a couple of these 42" sniper bags from Midway USA. Plenty of room for mags, sling, multi tool, optics, etc...

Very happy with mine.

I use padded electric guitar and bass guitar bags! The bass guitar bag holds my scoped precision AR w/ 24" barrel and there's built-in velcro straps that hold the barrel secure, in place of the guitar neck. Padded, well made, tough handles, exterior gear pocket and backpack straps ... doesn't look like a 'gun case' and was only $20 shipped on eBay!
Elite survival. Not cheap but made in USA and quality.
