Hello,

I had no real luck using the search feature in finding the info I am looking for. I am looking to sell a pre ban AR and various magazines over 10 rounds. Where can I find a list of state that Do Not allow pre ban rifles and the states that do not allow mags over 10 rounds.

I want to stay out of jail :D

Thanks,
Ron

To my knowledge and I could be wrong is that the whole preban lower means nothing any longer. You could always call reputable dealers in those states and they may be able to legally accept them. I don't know 100%

CA and MA at least still use the 94 AWB as a basis for their current bans, and CA has the 10 round limit for mags.

Preban firearms are gtg in CT. No mags over 10rd of any age.

MD's 2013 law banned any further transfers / purchases of rifles after Oct 1, 2013, so don't send anything there. The only way someone can acquire a "assault" rifle in MD is to inherit one from a "lawful possessor" already in the state.

I don't think I would send a rifle to MA right now as they're sorting out their new interpretation of their law and trying to say that all rifles sold in the last two decades are retroactively illegal.

In CA you can still get a stripped lower in, but they will soon (2017) have to be registered or modified to prevent ejection of the magazine without breaking the action open. That's how stupid it's gotten here. I'd sell it to someone outside CA who can use it as the type of rifle Eugene Stoner intended.

MASS - Until recent Atty General's Executive Fiat gets adjudicated ... no AWs can be sold or transferred.

Un-dated pre-ban high capacity mags can be purchased.

These are one of the reasons we don't live in Kalifornia any more. Born and raised there but now were in Washington.
