Picked up a Sig P320 Compact a few days ago and got to shoot her yesterday. Very sweet shooter. That said, how far do you break it down when cleaning? I figure removing the FCU and wiping it down will be sufficient as far as the frame goes. On the slide, I know removing the striker and extractor is extremely easy after I watched a video on YouTube. He also broke it down further removing the spring, spring cups, and two extremely small springs one of them being the "safety" spring. Do you routinely remove the springs from the striker when cleaning? Or will wiping it down and cleaning out the striker channel be sufficient? Also, is there a recommended maintenance schedule for replacing parts after certain round counts? New to Sigs and trying to get knowledge on how best to take care of my new P320 Compact. Thanks.

Sounds like you already found Alma Cole's YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/almacole/feed

He's a team Sig team shooter and his videos should be mandatory viewing for a 320 owner. As far as cleaning goes I wouldn't sweat cleaning the FCU unless you have it out for a frame swap or something. I spray mine with some Ballistol and just wipe it off. Run it a little wetter than you would a Glock and you'll be good to go. Consider joining the Sig 320 group on FB, Bruce Gray moderates and posts with lots of updates and info. As far as lube goes the Lucas Extreme is the 320 favorite, grease too.

Here's the standard lube pic that's posted.

Great info thanks guys. I'll check out more Alma Cole videos but I'm not on Facebook so I can't join that group, thanks again.
