How important are folding stock and flash hider?

I live in an AWB state, and as a result my AR's have fixed stocks and no flash hiders. I am thinking of getting a preban lower, but But I wonder if the $3-400 price premium is worth the folding stock and flashhider?
Right now I am using VLTOR rifle stock on my 16" carbine and Magpul PRS on my Varmint A4.

What do you plan on using the gun for?

I like collapsible/folding stocks for use when wearing armor, adjusting LOP, and to make the weapon more compact for transport and storage. Flash hiders can be helpful when shooting at night and low-light conditions. If these attributes are important to you then go for it. Anything else is a fashion show.

Mostly home defense, going to the range, and maybe take a class at some point. I don't have any armor, so that's probably not an issue when it comes to folding stock.
