Griffin mini brake alternatives?

I currently have a Griffin Recce in jail and recently mounted the Griffin mini 5.56 brake onto my BCM 11.5 SBR in anticipation of when it gets out.

I find shooting with this muzzle device unpleasant. While I am pretty well used to loud obnoxious brakes, this one is on another level. Very loud and very bright, to the point that follow up shots are harder to make, especially when shooting indoors.

I see Griffin makes a bunch of devices that fit the taper mounted cans, before I just plunk down the money for the flash hider does anyone have any input on some of the other options?

I might consider that, but since I have a 2nd rifle I will eventually need a muzzle device on for running this can I thought this was a good opportunity to ask the brain trust what the consensus is on the Griffin offerings.

The Flash Comp is a good alternative. I have one on my 11.5 and its not overwhelming, but I do have a blast shield for shooting indoors. 11.5" with anything but a suppressor is too loud indoors :lol:

OK, thanks for the info. The Flash Comp might be worth a try. I've shot some aggressive brakes indoors but the mini brake was like "holy ****ing shit batman"!!! :shout::suicide::fie:

I will probably buy the blast shield since it's not crazy expensive and will stop me from losing my marbles or putting the gun in my own mouth.
