From Surefires website:
SureFire's desert tan Vertical Foregrip LED WeaponLight - M900V features visible white and infrared primary illumination plus low-power secondary/navigational white illumination. The vertical grip delivers enhanced control during sustained-fire and tactical maneuvering when mounted on rifles, carbines, or SMGs with a Picatinny rail mounted on the underside of the forend.
Twisting the self-locking selector ring on the head selects either the 150-lumen primary visible illumination or 120mW invisible IR mode for use with NVDs during stealth operations. For the white light, SureFire employs their pre-focused TIR lens system to produce a tight center cone of light with a wide peripheral ring around it to help maintain situational awareness. Building the light with a secondary IR LED eliminates the need for filters or other accessories that can break or get lost. Controlling the output are dual ambidextrous momentary-on pressure pad switches on the handle, and an easily accessible rotary switch for constant-on activation. The rotary switch has a lock-out function to disable the entire light to prevent accidental activation during transport or storage, or when strict light discipline needs to be maintained. A simple thumb switch activates the secondary lights for as long as it is pressed.
The light's housing is constructed from a combination of Nitrolon polymer and Mil-Spec anodized machined-aluminum to ensure long-term reliability. The entire system is o-ring and gasket-sealed for optimum weather-resistance. For fast and repeatable tool-free removal and installation, the foregrip has an integrated dual throw-lever quick release Picatinny rail mount.
