I apologize if this is the wrong forum. It is a hunting video, but the thing I find impressive is how the young man in the video operates his bolt action rifle. He's shooting driven boar at an amazing pace.

It's a Merkel Helix straight pull action not a bolt action. Still impressive shooting but doesn't require as much manipulation as a true bolt.

I believe it and the Blaser R8 action were designed to beat some stupid semi-auto laws in the U.K.

Thanks for the good info. I thought it was a short stroke with minimal rotation. Guess none, actually. The shooter was certainly fast with it, regardless.
