First off I need glasses....I was told this a long time ago. BUT in the mean time, what do you recommend for a front sight post that is easier to see? Shooting at the indoor range I am a member of, I would like to be able to see the front post a lot easier and better. What's the take on a tritium post or even one of the xs sights with the white stripe. Thanks a lot!

Before spending money on a front sight, blacken both sights. You can either dip a cotton swab in grade and light it and blacken the sights with the smoke, or get a can of Birchwood Casey's Sight Black

Here's a current thread on tritium night sights.

Could always give one of these a try. Relatively inexpensive (compared to Tritium). Designed to be more "eye-catching" in a variety of lighting conditions. Allows for more precision than a Big Dot. With your intended use being for the indoor range, as opposed to a defensive solution in low light conditions, the arguments against it aren't as relevant. Who cares if you need to take a couple seconds here and there to recharge.

I understand what you are going through; my vision has seen better days, years ago.

Illuminate the target with more light and darken the light at your shooting position. It will make it much easier to see the front sight.
