Show is absolutely wild.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2980696/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Basically a Vietnam vet comes home to a less than perfect situation, things go to hell and the next thing he knows he's working for a shadow operation.

Lots of research done regarding cars, clothes, guns and 1972 styles.

No. Liquor has an Euro problem.
Euro, we love you. Never forget that

Back on point, This show sounds pretty far out. Wht have I not heard of it. I like vintage stuff. I guess that's why I liked quantum leap and life on mars so much.

This may fill the Strike Back void.
God I loved that show

It's got some potential. I'm four episodes in and hooked.

It's like that scene from Bad Santa; "Yeah Willy forgot to take his pill again".

As for the show, sounds awesome and I trust OP's taste in all things film and TV so I'll have to wait for it to come out on disc as my Amazon Fire charges too much for skinemax.

Just watched the Trailer.

The only thing I could think about was that up until 42 seconds if you replaced the furniture with Ikea, changed the 1911 out with a Glock, and put some Fetty on the MP3 player they could have just as easily made it about an OIF vet.

It's weird how things change. And how they stay the same.

The first ep is on YouTube. By Cinemax.

This is like Boogie Nights mixed with the parts of Hitman that didn't suck.

Like if Dirk Diggler were doing what La Femme Nikita did.

Dude gives off a Johnny Wadd vibe. Maybe its the stache.

I approve!

On another note Ive seen thatvgoddamn quarry in real life and so many movies and TV shows. It's almost like that California mountain where Kirk fought that Alien.

I always think the same thing when I watch "The Best Years of Our Lives."

An excellent film.

IMO one of the ten best films of the 20th century. While some parts may seem corny and dated, I wish it could be shown to every returning veteran from every war.

As Euro pointed out, the more things change the more they stay the same in many respects.

Who remembers "Harsh Times" with Christian Bale?

That one is new to me, just dropped it in my netflix queue. I think my favorite Bale film is still "Empire of the Sun." Probably because it reminds me of another film "Hope and Glory." Just something about a well made WWII film told from a 12 year olds perspective.

Ok, so finally saw this today. Wins best "continuous witaf" movie award. Difficult to watch because that environment actually exists. I've known a few "former banger / still hood" cops and it always caught me way off guard.

Don't know where Bale drew that character from, but holy crap.
