The MRE stuff does look a bit rancid, but I bet it keeps the ROK boys happy when far away from home. A day without kimchee is a day without sunshine. :D

I found that pic on military photos, where there was another shot more distant and slightly blurred. You could still see the sunken cheeks throughout the ranks. If this is the condition of their soldiers, one can only imagine the state of the poor rural country folk. It will be a bright day when that regime falls.
