But good for them.

My best friend has been a diehard Cubs fan all of his life, he broke into tears when they got the last out.

As a Red Sox fan, I considered the Cubs kindred spirits, so I'm very happy for them tonight!
A year late but what the hell.....
I dont care about sports but I'm a huge BTTF fan.
I wish I had a time machine so I couldve put some money on the Cubbies
Was pretty tense at work. My boss is a huge cubs fan and she is from Illinois. Also I work with a guy who was a Cubs pitcher back in the early 2000s. I thought they were gonna cry.

Man, I've waited 30 years to see this. When Chapman gave up that 2 run homer to tie the game superstition kicked in and I had to turn the game off so the Cubs could win it... :(
I'm just glad they finally did it. If only ol' Harry could have seen it.

I am a die-hard life long Giants fan, but seeing the Cubs win the series in my lifetime made my heart happy as a Baseball fan.

That was an amazing series that was capped off by one of the exciting game seven's victories ever.
Bringing Chapman in was perhaps the worst mistake, that he wouldn't or couldn't throw "his" pitches at that moment in time was nerve wracking to say the least.
Old Theo Epstein knows his stuff apparently

Indeed. Harry is up there having an ice-cold Budweiser with his best friend Augie, and yelling "Cubs win! Cubs win!"

My uncle used to play for the Cubs farm team. I think he must have stopped when he went to the Korean War. He died this year. I'm beginning to wonder if he didn't go upstairs and have a talk with somebody.
That was a hell of a game.
I didnt watch the game and the cubs won. Maybe everyone should stop watching so they will win more
go sox

That was one of the best baseball games I have ever seen, period. My buddy, grew up in Chicago and a huge Cubs fan, was over last night and his enthusiasm was contagious. Once the Cubs made the series I wanted them to win just to break the curse. It was a damn fun series to watch.
ESPN had a great group of articles on the impact of game 7 on the people of Chicago. Some of it was very touching.

Saw an article on FB where a Cubs fan listened to the game on a radio at his father's grave who was a lifelong Cubs fan.
